By making reservations on this site, you agree to abide by the policies described herein as well as in our User Agreement. Please review these policies carefully from time to time as they are subject to change.

Tax Recovery Charges:

Air Transactions. Where noted on the site with a plus sign prices shown for air-only transactions and travel packages that include air are for one adult and are subject to an additional tax recovery charge. Such tax recovery charge represents a recovery of all additional applicable transaction taxes, governmental fees and other charges that Rocket Fare and/or its partners must pay to the relevant airline(s) in connection with your travel arrangements, including but not limited to: (i) Airport Passenger Facility Charges that range from US$2-US$20, depending on itinerary; (ii) Federal Segment Fees of US$3.00 per segment (defined as a takeoff and a landing); (iii) the September 11th Security Fee of US$2.50 per flight segment (maximum charge per trip of US$5.00 one-way, US$10.00 round-trip; (iv) a Travel Facilities Tax of up to US$13.40 per round-trip for domestic flights beginning or ending in Alaska or Hawaii; and (v) for fares to Canada, a federal immigration fee of US$7.00 per roundtrip, airport fees of US$6.50 per roundtrip and Canada Air Traveler Security charge of US$8.00 per roundtrip; and (vi) for international itineraries, foreign and U.S. government-imposed charges of up to US$200.00 per round trip, depending on routing and destination. Air fares may be subject to additional restrictions, may not be available on all flights, and may change without notice. Specific fare rules are provided prior to purchase.

Hotel Transactions. Amounts listed as taxes and fees on Rocket Fare hotel transactions consist of a tax recovery charge recovering all applicable transaction taxes, governmental fees and other charges that Rocket Fare must pay to the relevant hotel(s) in connection with your travel arrangements.

Car and Other Transactions. Prices displayed for Total Price car rentals include a tax recovery charge recovering all applicable transaction taxes, governmental fees and other charges that Rocket Fare must pay to the relevant car rental companies in connection with your travel arrangements. In the case of car suppliers that do not provide Total Price information, taxes, governmental fees and other charges will not be included in the displayed price and will instead be disclosed prior to purchase. Taxes, governmental fees and other charges on any travel-related transactions not otherwise discussed above will be as disclosed prior to purchase.

Additional Note. Rocket Fare does not collect taxes, governmental fees or other charges for, or remit taxes, governmental fees or other charges to, taxing authorities as a vendor or co-vendor. Instead, Rocket Fare pays all such amounts directly to vendors (our travel suppliers), as and when, and in the amounts, billed by each vendor. Each vendor must then remit such amounts to the appropriate taxing authorities. In order to recover the amount of such taxes, governmental fees and other charges, Rocket Fare imposes a tax recovery charge on transactions as outlined above.

Service Fees:

Online Service Fee. A non-refundable fee of up to US$20.00 per ticket is charged by Rocket Fare for each air transaction on an airline that pays us a standard fee or commission. A non-refundable fee of up to US$20.00 or more per ticket is charged on all other airlines. To the extent any service fee applies, it will be included in the airfare and itemized prior to purchase. The current maximum number of tickets per transaction is six. Purchasing more than six tickets begins a new transaction with its own fees. Rocket Fare's online service fee applies to both e-tickets and paper tickets. There is no service fee on air transactions that are a part of a travel package (for example a Last Minute Deal or vacation package), or on rental car or cruise transactions made via the Rocket Fare web site. In certain cases, hotel transactions may include a service fee covering the costs incurred by Rocket Fare in servicing your hotel booking.

Offline Service Fee. A non-refundable fee of up to US$20.00 per ticket may be charged by Rocket Fare for airline tickets purchased by telephone via our toll-free number. Reservations for departure in 24 hours or fewer cannot be booked by telephone.

Paper Ticket Shipping Fees. Most air transactions on Rocket Fare are fulfilled using electronic-tickets. However, if an airline does not offer electronic-ticketing, or if you request paper tickets, there will be a shipping fee assessed of US up to $25.00 per transaction for second business day delivery; up to US$30.00per transaction for next business day delivery; or up to US$49.95 per transaction for international delivery. Airlines may assess additional charges for issuance of paper tickets and additional charges may apply to World Travel Inc. Ticketing. Any such paper ticket fees will be billed by Rocket Fare to the credit card or debit card provided in the booking process.

Fees for Changes/Cancellations/Refunds. Itinerary changes, cancellations and refunds, if permitted for the air fare, may carry a fee of up to US$150 that may vary by market, carrier and specific fare rule.

Additional Information Regarding Travel Packages:

Travel Package Pricing. Unless otherwise noted, prices shown for travel packages are in USD for one adult, and if travel package includes hotel, based upon double occupancy. Prices for Last Minute Deals include all applicable taxes and fees. Prices are subject to change based your choice of travel dates, number of travelers, departure city, and your choice of flight, hotels or other items, and may require a minimum nights' stay. Also, remember that you may incur other charges while traveling, such as hotel extra-person or extra-bed charges, resort fees, gratuities, hotel energy surcharges, parking fees, telephone fees, room service, movies, mini-bar, or rental car insurance, gasoline, and other incidentals, that are not included in the package price.
