I have not received my confirmation, what can I do?

Once you click the “Confirm” button it should only take up to 1 minute to receive confirmation of your booking on screen. Do not click the confirm button more than once or you will be charged more than once. We also send you a confirmation e-mail with your booking details if you have given us a valid e-mail address. Please note that due to the nature of the internet and individual e-mail servers that sometimes confirmation e-mails will not be received. As a precaution all your bookings are also stored in our online travel itinerary planner, MyHostelworld. By booking through Hostelworld.com you automatically become a MyHostelworld member and can access this area at any time to view your bookings.

How do I cancel a booking?

If you wish to cancel your booking you must contact the hostel directly using the contact details on your booking confirmation, please remember to quote your booking reference in any correspondence with the hostel. In the event of a cancellation the booking fee and deposit are non-refundable. You must give at least 24 hours cancellation notice to the hostel to avoid a no-show charge. The no-show charge is the total of the first night's accommodation cost and will be charged to your credit card if you do not notify the hostel in time.

How do I amend my reservation?

You should contact the hostel directly to request an amendment to your reservation. Contact details are clearly noted on your confirmation e-mail, please quote your booking reference number in any correspondence with the hostel. Acceptance of any amendments is at the discretion of the hostel concerned. If an amendment of your reservation is not possible your deposit and booking fee are non-refundable.

What happens if I don’t show up and I haven’t contacted the hostel?

In the event of a no show the hostel will charge your card for the first night's stay and cancel any remaining nights booked. The deposit and booking fee are non refundable.

If you have forgotten your password click on the resend password option in MyHostelworld and it will be e-mailed to you.

I am not sure if my booking was processed, can you check for me?

If you booked online at Hostelworld.com your travel details will be stored in your online travelogue at MyHostelworld. You can log-in using your username and password. Your username is your e-mail address, if you have lost your password click on the resend password option.

What should I do once I see that my booking has been confirmed?

Once your booking has been confirmed you are taken to a confirmation page which contains a link to your full booking details. Please click into view your full booking details from this page and make sure that you print your booking confirmation or take note of the booking reference number as the hostel will need this to check you in.
